Enlarge Description Here is an original NEW OLD STOCK real deal Schwinn BRAKE CABLE for your bike. Has the original part number 17 573 This fits many bikes of the 1960s and 1970s. Package says Schwinn Approved. Package says 381/2 x 19" for Ladies Letour. See close up pic of the end of the cable. This will NOT fit the "tourist" type of brake levers such as Racer, Stingray, Krate, Typhoon, Corvette etc)
Includes the package, cable and everything you see! It is original Part number 17-573. Its the correct original color housing! Package shows age but has never been removed or installed. I LOVE that this has the REAL ORIGINAL Schwinn grey colored cable housing. (a bike does not look good when it has added white or black cable)
This is a rear cable or shorten it if you need one for the front of your bike!
These cables are HARD TO FIND and have not been reproduced!
Package says Ladies Letour. I am guessing this would be for the "Mixte" type frame bikes. (see pics and be your own expert) Package does not say but MAY also fit your Schwinn Varsity, Continental, Letour, Voyageur, Sprint, Paramount, Super Le Tour, etc etc etc. (size it to whatever bike you are working on) BE SURE to compare before you buy to BE SURE this will be right for your application!
This came from the back stock of a long closed up bicycle shop! Comes exactly as shown. IF YOU EVER think you could use this, DO NOT MISS OUT! They dont make these and they are hard to find. A very useful part for numerous bikes! A cool piece to use on your best bicycle or hang on the wall for display!
